The fish were caught so easily,
And the berries were very juicy.
Safety meant being by her mother.
There she was safe from the dogs of the mighty hunter.
She was protected from the lions' roar.
She was far away from the god's horn.
This day through the woods was a delight.
Mother knew what was right.
Mother knew it was not safe at night.
Mother knew what was unsafe during daylight.
On this particular day
The cub wandered away.
It was an accident, for you see,
Minor chased a chamaeleon to a tree.
In that tree, which was near a lake,
Was a very unpleasant snake
He liked to use tricks and perform misdeeds
His personal favourite word is deceit
As Minor approached the water's edge
She sense someone was above her head
"Greetings," said the snake.
"I am Serpens, and I live above the lake."
